Es könnte klappen, heute sind die besten Voraussetzungen für den Aufbruch in der ganzen Woche. Noch ist es windstill, am frühen Nachmittag soll Südwind bis 15 Knoten einsetzen, der Wind dreht dann über West auf NW, bleibt bei 10 Knoten und sollte bis Montag in der Früh über das ganze ionische Meer wehen. Gestern haben wir bei der verbleibenden Maschine, Ölstand kontrolliert etwas nachgefüllt. Wir fahren bei absoluter Windstille an der Hafeneinfahrt von Roccela Ionica vorbei und weiter die Küste entlang nach Nordosten. Einige Fischerboote schaukeln bereits vor dem Hafen. Bei 2000 Touren machen wir 3,3 – 3,5 Knoten. Bis zur Durchfahrt zwischen den griechischen Inseln Kefallonia und Lefkada sind es 195 Seemeilen, etwa 365 Kilometer. Gegen Mittag kommt leichter Südostwind auf, wir setzten die Segel, reduzieren die Drehzahl auf 1500 Touren, jezt erreichen wir 4-4,5 Knoten, Sabina serviert Spagetti Bologneise mit grünem Salat. Ich hole nochmals die Windvorhersage ein, noch haben wir Handyverbindung mit der im Dunst liegenden Küste. Keine Änderung der Prognose, wir gehen auf Kurs nach Griechenland, jetzt gibt es kein Zurück mehr. Bald können wir den Motor stoppen, der Wind hat auf 8-12 Knoten zugenommen, wir segeln zwischen 4 und 4,5 Knoten. Kurz nach dem Abendessen geht der Wind leider soweit zurück, das wir nur noch knapp 2 Knoten schnell sind, ich nehme wieder den Motor dazu. Sabina geht um 8h schlafen, die Sonne senkt sich langsam zum Horizont. Es wird kühler, ich ziehe mir lange Hose und Pullover an. Langsam erscheinen die Sterne, Finsternis breitet sich aus. Ich lese auf meinem Tolino, alle 10 Minuten ein Rundumblick,dann gehe ich wieder in die Kabine zurück. Die Schiffahrtsroute von der Straße von Messina in die Adria liegt schon lange hinter uns, die ganze Nacht passiert uns kein einziges Schiff. Kurz vor Mitternacht hebt sich blutrot der Mond aus dem Wasser vor Squib, die Milchstraße verblaßt, es wird heller. Kurz nach 2h wecke ich Sabina lege mich müde nieder. Gegen sechs Uhr bin ich wieder wach, Sabina geht nochmalsin die Koje. Der Wind frischt auf, ich stelle die Segel nach, schalte den Motor ab. Die Hälfte der Strecke ist geschafft. Während des Tages dreht der Wind immer mehr auf West, wir bergen das Gr0ßsegel und setzen zur ausgebaumten Genua auf steuerbord fliegend die alte Fock auf der Backbordseite. Mit 4- 5 Knoten geht es so bis zum Abend dahin. Schon am Vortag haben wir die zwei Schleppangeln ausgebracht, leider noch kein einziger Biss, obwohl wir kleine Thunfische sogar nebenher schwimmen sehen.
Leider flaut der Wind abends immer mehr ab, wir bergen die Segel und starten wieder die Maschine. Noch 60 Meilen. Die Wache halten wir wieder wie am Vortag, anfangs schieben noch ein wenig die Wellen vom vergangenen Westwind. Als ich Sabina wecke sind es noch 30 Meilen bis Lefkada. Um sechs Uhr bin ich wieder munter, noch 16 Meilen, die griechischen Inseln sieht man schon deutlich vor uns. Kurz nach 10:30 runden wir den leukadischen Felsen, von dem sich die griechische Dichterin Sappho 70 Meter in die Tiefe gestürzt hat. Punkt 12h, eigentlich 13h griechischer Zeit fällt der Anker in der weiten Bucht von Vasiliki. Wir sind froh wieder in Griechenland zu sein. Wenig später bekomme ich ein Mail von der Aktio Marina, am 21 wird Squib wieder an Land gestellt. Bis dahin werden wir in der Umgebung von Lefkada und Meganisi bleiben.
