In Arrecife

Wir sind seit Dienstag Abend in Arrecife der Hauptstadt von Lanzarote. Der Ankerplatz in Puerto Naos ist rundum geschützt, gratis und dreckig. Wir werden aber nur noch heute hier bleiben, morgen geht es nach Gran Canaria weiter.

Angenehm hier sind die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, man glaubt ja gar nicht wie man sich freuen kann, wenn der Supermarkt größer als 50 Quadratmeter ist. Auch konnten wir unser spanisches Internet von Orange wieder aufladen, deswegen heute auch gleich drei neue Fotogalerien, schließlich gehören die 3,9€ pro Tag ausgenützt. Bina ist gerade zum Ikea gegangen, um ein neues Moskitonetz zu besorgen, während ich an Bord die Stellung halte, und fleissig Bilder hochlade. Wir sind gemeinsam mit kleiner Lord hergesegelt und haben uns gegenseitig fotografiert, gestern abend haben wir die Bilder dann ausgetauscht, es war wieder ein sehr netter Abend, nachdem wir schon gemeinsam zu Mittag Tapas in der Fußgängerzone gegessen hatten.  Von der Ranja haben wir per Mail erfahren, dass es in Las Palmas für kleine Boote noch möglich sein müsste, trotz der ARC noch eine Platz zu bekommen. Die ARC ist eine jährlich stattfindende Regatta von Gran Canaria nach St Lucia in der Karibik, die heuer am 22 November startet. Mehr als 200 Boote nehmen daran teil, vor allem wegen der Partys vorher und nacher. FÜr 3000e kann man auf vielen Schiffen Kojen chartern, um sich drei Wochen später Atlantiküberquerer nennen zu dürfen. Da wir nicht teilnehmen, werden wir das gesparte Geld in Vorräte stecken und auch noch die Kap Verden anlaufen.

Nun da hört man wohl meine Meinung dazu recht deutlich, ich meine halt, bei so einem Unternehmen muß man seinen eigenen Fähigkeiten vertrauen, man kann die Verantwortung nicht abschieben. Volker der die Welt schon umsegelt hat, meinte auch, dass wir ab jetzt viel beständigeren Wind haben werden, was Richtung und Stärke betrifft, wir beide hoffen das er recht hat. Bevor wir jedoch zur nächsten größeren Etappe aufbrechen gibt es sicher noch ein paar Fotos von Gran Canaria zu sehen.
