Keliba – San Vito lo Capo – Vulcano

Diesmal empfängt uns Südwind außerhalb der Hafenausfahrt, nur mit der Genua machen wir fünf Knoten Richtung Trapani, an der Westspitze von Sizilien. Untertags frischt es dann noch etwas auf und der Wind dreht auf Südost. So brausen wir mit 5- 6 Knoten , mit halb eingedrehter Genua Richtung Sizilien. Fast hundert Meilen liegen vor uns. Endlich um ein Uhr in der Nacht passieren wir die Westseite von Favignana, einer vorgelagerten Insel, damit hat das Geschüttel endlich ein Ende. Ich wecke Sabina auf zu ihrer Wache auf. Sackgasse Pantelleria

Nachdem wir jetzt schon 5 Tage im Hafen von Pantelleria schaukeln und kein Ende in Sicht ist, da der Wind immer aus für uns ungünstigen Richtungen bläst, beschließen wir den morgigen Nordost zu nützen und zurück nach Tunesien zu segeln, in der Hoffnung ein, zwei ruhige Nächte verbringen zu können. Gleich in der Früh legen wir ab und kämpfen uns mit einem Knoten Geschwindigkeit aus der nach Norden offenen Hafeneinfahrt. Endlich passieren wir das Molenkopffeuer und können Kurs Richtung Westen einschlagen. Zügig geht es nun dahin, knapp 40 Meilen sind es bis Kelibia, etwas südlich von Kap Bon. Neun Stunden später laufen wir in den geschäftigen Fischereihafen ein. Einer der inneren Molen ist für durchreisende Yachten eingerichtet, und wir legen längsseits an der Two Moons aus Kanada an. Mike und Grace helfen uns dabei und einen Stunde später sitzen wir bei ihnen im Cockpit und reden über unsere Reisen. Pantelleria

Wir brechen am Vormittag von Sidi Bou Said Richtung Pantelleria auf. Pantelleria  liegt zwar näher an der afrikanischen als an der sizilianischen Küste gehört aber zu Italien. Vulkane haben eine bis über 800 m hohe Insel aufgeworfen. Es gibt zwei Häfen auf der Insel. Bis zum Abend erreichen wir Kap Bon an der tunesischen Nordostspitze. Die Sonne geht unter, noch 45 Meilen bis zum Ziel.  Vor uns leuchten die Blitze zahlreicher Gewitter auf. Unschlüssig ob wir weiter nach Osten segeln sollen schaue ich in die Karte. Tunesien, im Land unterwegs

Dienstag haben wir uns für einen Tag ein Leihauto genommen und sind in der Gegend herumgefahren. Hier in Nordtunesien sieht es ja genauso wie in Griechenland oder Süditalien aus, die Wüste beginnt erst viel weiter im Süden. Ruinen, Bakschisch, Ramadan

6:45, es ist schon hell, die Sonne ist aber noch nicht aufgegangen, ich hole den Anker aus dem Sandgrund der Cala Malfatano. Unter Motor fahren wir aus der Bucht, nehmen Kurs auf die afrikanische Küste. Leichter Wind kommt auf, wir rollen die Genua aus, lassen den Motor aber weiterlaufen. Blutrot hebt sich die Sonne im Osten aus dem Meer, noch 141 Meilen bis Sidi Bou Said in Tunesien. Sardinien Südwest

Derzeit sind wir in der Südwestecke Sardiniens zwischen der Insel San Antiochio und der Insel San Pietro. Am 31. August sind wir hier nach einer recht schaukeligen Fahrt angekommen. Wir konnten sogar 10 der 45 Meilen bis hierher segeln.

Menorca – Sardinien

Als wir Mittwoch Nachmittag den Wetterbericht einholen, wird ab Freitag Mistralwetterlage mit Wind bis 35 Knoten angesagt. Wir wollten noch ein paar Tage auf Menorca bleiben, doch schon wieder mit Starkwind nach Sardinien segeln wollen wir auch nicht. Also schnell alles eingepackt, Anker auf und zur Tankstelle an der Westseite der Cala Fornell. Wir tanken auch noch einen unserer Reservekanister voll, dass müsste bis Tunesien reichen.
