Wir schlendern gerade über die Promenade in Elisabeth Town, Bequia. Kleine Geschäfte in netten Holzhäusern, meist Boutiquen oder Souvenirläden, auf der Promenade Obststände und selbstgemachtes Kunsthandwerk. Um nicht in irgendeiner Fetznbude hängen zu bleiben, betrete ich den Bequia Book Shop. Piraten der Karibik

Samstag haben wir Bequia verlassen und sind zur nächsten Insel, St.Vincent weitergesegelt, bei Halbwind kam seit langem wieder einmal unser Parasail zum Einsatz. In der Wallilaboubay haben wir am selben Steg festgemacht, auf den Jack Sparrow seinen Fuß gesetzt hat, bevor sein kleines Schiff untergegangen ist. Das ist doch sicher einen kleinen Extrabericht wert. Allerdings hat der Zahn der Zeit ganz schön daran genagt. Ein selbsternannter Discjockey, ca. 100 m von uns entfernt, hat seine 2,5 Meter hohen Boxen vor das Haus getragen, alle Kabel richtig angeschlossen, um ohne Soundcheck sofort loslegen zu können. Baliceaux

Am 27.12 sind wir nachmittags aus der Friendshipbay auf Bequia nach Baliceuax ausgelaufen. Ich wollte dort unbedingt hin, weil auf der Seekarte ein Ankerplatz eingezeichnet war, in den Segelführern aber nichts darüber stand. Von den 5,5 Meilen konnten wir die Hälfte segeln, dann drehte der Wind auf genau von Vorne und wir motorten das letzte Stück in die Landing Bay. Als wir den Anker warfen wußten wir warum nichts in den Segelführern stand. Obwohl die Bucht im Windschatten liegt, rollen große Wellen aus Süden und Westen in die Bucht. Continue reading Baliceaux…
