8 Dezember, 2009 | Kategorie: Segeln 2009 | 23 KommentareNun sind wir im Endspurt über den Atlantik, die ersten 14 Tage verliefen genauso wie man es sich vorgestellt hatte, aber seit Sonntag hat der Wind immer mehr zugenommen und liegt derzeit bei Windstärke 6, nicht viel will man meinen , aber für ein kleines Boot ist es viel.Wir haben die Segelfläche stückchenweise reduziert, derzeit fahren wir nur noch mit der ausgebaumten Fock, die ca 10 m² hat, manche der Wellen die von hinten heranrollen sind 5m hoch, man glaubt jetzt steigt sie ins Cockpit ein, dann hebt sich im letzten Augenblick das Heck und sie läuft unten durch.Das Schiff surft dann mit bis zu 12 Knoten den Hang hinab, um im Wellental mit 2-3 Knoten dahinzu tümpeln. Dann geht es wieder rauf. Allerdings kommen solche Wellen nur zwei bis dreimal pro Stunde, dazwischen schaukelt es uns kräftig durch.
Unsere Ankunft auf Union Island dürfte sich für Donnerstag Mittag ausgehen, je wie das Wetter sich weiter entwickelt, zumindest heute sollte noch Starkwind sein. Aktuell haben wir jetzt Dienstag,um 7h in der Früh noch 240 nm bis zum Ziel.
