6 Dezember, 2009 | Kategorie: Segeln 2009 | 25 KommentareDie Tage ziehen ereignislos vorüber, das letzte Segelmanöver ist eine Woche her. Das Einzige was sich verändert ist die Zeit des Sonnenauf- und Untergangs. Ca 10 Minuten verschiebt es sich jeden Tag nach Hinten, deswegen haben wir gestern zwei Schaltstunden eingeschoben. Wir hatten 12h Mittag, dann 14h= 12h und so war der Tag zwei Stunden länger, die Sonne verschwand wieder um Sechs hinter dem Horizont, um heute knapp vor Sieben wieder aufzugehen. Es ist etwas eigenartig hier. Obwohl die Sonne zu Mittag ungefähr so hoch am Horizont steht, wie in Wien im August, scheint sie nur 11 Stunden am Tag. Mit der Dämmerung eingerrechnet ist es also genauso lange hell wie dunkel, anders als die langen Sommertage in Wien. So wird es die ganze Zeit sein, solange wir in den Tropen sind.
Nach fast zwei Wochen Fahrzeit schätzen wir unsere Ankunft auf Union Island für Donnerstag oder Freitag nächster Woche voraus, es hängt davon ab, ob der Wind weiter beständig stark bleibt oder abflaut. Bis jetzt dürfen wir ja ganz zufrieden sein.

Position 4. Dezember: N 14° 25,6′, W 049°05,6′ (noch 728 Meilen).
Position 5. Dezember: N 14° 07′ W 051° 46′ (noch 593 Meilen).
Position 6. Dezember: N 13° 55′ W 053° 40′ (noch 459 Meilen).
Ist schon recht – beschwert euch ruhig bei uns zurück(daheim)gebliebenen über mässige Sonnenstunden !!! Nur 11 Stunden am Tag – entsetzlich – wie hält man das nur aus !
Hier in Wien haben wir ja jede Menge Sonne ! Meistens scheint sie in Strömen…
