25 Januar, 2010 | Kategorie: Segeln 2009 | 1.137 KommentareVon der Marina Bas du Fort sind wir in sechs Stunden nach Petit Terre gefahren. Petit Terre liegt ca sechs Meilen vor der Ostspitze von Guadeloupe. Es besteht aus zwei Inseln zwischen denen eine Lagune liegt, die von einem Riff gegen die Wellen des Atlantiks abgeschirmt wird. Das ganze Gebiet ist ein Naturpark, ankern ist verboten. Dafür liegen Bojen in der Lagune an denen man festmachen kann. Weil die Einfahrt nur um die zwei Meter tief ist, wird die Inselgruppe nur von Booten mit wenig Tiefgang angelaufen.
Als wir kurz vor Sonnenuntergang ankamen fuhren gerade die Ausflugskats mit Tagescharterern nach Guadeloupe zurück, wir lagen nur mit zwei kanadischen und einem deutschen Boot in der Lagune. Doch zurück zur Überfahrt, wir haben unseren ersten Baracuda gefangen. Fast einen Meter lang hatte er bereits ein respekteinflößendes Gebiss. Bina hat ihm mit einem Schuss Alkohol hinter die Kiemen den Garaus gemacht. Nach der Ankunft hab ich ihm geschuppt, das ganze Cockpit war voll davon .In Scheiben geschnitten kam er erst einmal in die Kühlbox. Das Riff fängt alle Wellen ab, wir liegen so ruhig wie in einer Marina hier.
Gleich am nächsten Morgen fahren wir mit dem Dingi zum Außenriff. So klar wie hier war das Wasser noch nirgendwo. Leider ist die Strömung so stark, das man kaum vom Fleck kommt. Wir fahren ein Stück weiter ins Lee der südlichen Insel. Hier im flachen Wasser gibt es keine Korallen, dafür sehen wir einen Stachelrochen und einen großen Hornhecht. Nachmittag spazieren wir diese Insel entlang zur Westspitze. Die Zeit vergeht, zurück müssen wir uns beeilen damit wir noch Tageslicht haben. Ich sehe noch einen kleinen Hai der zwischen Riff und Sandstrand patrouliert.
Die nächsten Tage sind den hier vorkommenden Antillen Leguanen gewidmet. Sie sind Hauptgrund für das Schutzgebiet. Sie sollen bis zu 1,5 Meter lang werden. Doch als wir zeitig am Morgen auf der nördlichen Insel anlanden, stellen wir rasch fest, dass die Fluchtdistanz ziemlich groß ist. Nur auf den kleinen Bäumen fühlen sie sich sicher. Gut getarnt liegen sie beim Sonnenbaden auf den oberen Ästen. Doch schließlich gelingt es uns ein paar Aufnahmen zu machen. Da ich das Stativ zum Filmen mitgenommen habe, gelingen mir ein paar Aufnahmen indem ich die Kamera am Stativ in die Höhe hebe. Völlig zerschunden kehren wir zu Mittag zum Boot zurück. Am nächsten Tag unternehmen wir das Ganze noch einmal auf der südlichen Insel, hier sind die Tiere weniger scheu. Es gelingen uns ein paar gute Aufnahmen, zum Schluss sehen wir noch zwei große Männchen, wie sie am Unterbau des Leuchtturms hochklettern. Von hier aus haben wir einen Strand an der Ostküste der gegenüberliegenden Insel entdeckt, dort wollen wir noch schnorcheln. Die Durchfahrt zwischen Riff und Strand ist nur wenige Meter breit, aber wir bringen das Beiboot gut durch. Dafür werden wir mit einem der besten Schnorchelplätze bis jetzt belohnt. Zum ersten Mal sehen wir hier Scheibenanemonen und einen großen Igelfisch.
Abends veranstalten wir mit Jazek und Norbert von der polnischen Yacht Osprey ein Potluck. Wir grillen unseren Baracuda auf einem der gemauerten Grillplätze. Jazek fährt mit seinem Boot jedes Jahr von Europa in die Karibik und wieder zurück, nebenbei erzählt er dann noch, dass er schon zweimal um die Welt gesegelt ist. Schnell vergeht der Abend, am nächsten Tag segeln wir weiter nach Marie Galante.
